Multiple Methods to Produce Hydrogen

Normally crude oil refining process requires hydrogenation.

Hydrogenation technology is the process of improving oil quality or acquiring target products by reaction of oil and hydrogen under certain temperature and hydrogen pressure and catalytic reaction. It mainly includes hydrogenation refining and hydrogenation cracking technology.

Hydrogenation technology is key to change heavy crude oil to light oil.

With more and more stricter requirements on atmosphere pollution and car emission, it’s necessary to improve gasoline and diesel quality. The key for clean gasoline production is to reduce the content of sulfur, olefin and benzene, and the key for clean diesel production is to reduce the content of sulfur and aromatics, thereby reducing sulfides, nitrides, carbon monoxide and particulates in automobile emissions. Therefore, more hydrogen is needed in refining than before.
